Marketing Success and Lessons Learned for Branch Out.

Warning! Boast-blog alert...

Firstly, sorry I'm late. I mean, imagine if Spotify unwrapped was delayed until now. Though, I don't think my late analytics post will provoke the same uproar.

I will, however, conclude with some lessons learned in 2023 if you keep reading to the end.

And anyway, it's the second week of getting back into it all—the last two weeks have been filled with planning, meetings and cheese cravings.

But less of the excuses, here are some quick-fire faves from Branch Out's clients.

Social Media Marketing:
Client 1) Insta reach up by 190%! And triple the engagement. Woohoo.
Client 2) Facebook page visits are up by 165.4%.
Client 3) 800K reach on LinkedIn overall. Toot toot!

Website wonders:
Client 1) 404% increase in average site durations.
Client 2)And, drumroll, please... a 205% increase in unique site visitors.
Client 3) 152% increase in web form fill-ins. Lovely.

Nice numbers, right? Yes.

BUT

Rather than suggest everything is hunk dory in the small business world, I'd be lying to you if I said it's all been surges and smiles.

For example, I'm aware that as a business owner, I am effectively a salesperson, but that part is ...tough. This is why I like sharing analytics (look at these numbers so I don't have to sell to you)!

More lessons learned in 2023

~ I invested a worthy wad into an outsourcing website and saw zero return. Lesson learned: stick to what works, like word of mouth and social media marketing.

~ I lost a client because I wasn't upfront about my business boundaries from the get-go. Because of this, I was doing favours for free.
Lesson learned: be upfront from the start. Only take on what you are being paid to do.

~ Scheduled posts didn't post, five pages of the website content disappeared into cyberspace, and halfway through the year, my email domain and contact list vanished, n' all.
Lesson learned: Sh*t stuff happens too. Remember, some of the sh*t stuff isn't as serious as the mind makes it out to be. Learn to laugh at these mishaps.

I don't know why I *'d out the word sh*t.

I'm learning, I'm growing, and I'm grateful for it all.

It's a bit cheesy, perhaps, but some things gotta curb these cheese cravings.

To another year of ups and downs and ups.

Chelsea
