Four ways Supporting Small makes a profound impact

We’re all familiar with the phrase and intention to ‘support a small business.’

Today, on #SmallBusinessSaturday, I want to talk about what it really means to a small business owner and what it means for the community when someone invests in us.

Small business self-esteem is a thing. Every time a customer chooses your small biz, the biz-esteem-meter fills up a tad.

Choosing someone’s small business means that when the owner feels burdened by ‘imposter syndrome’, saturated socials and cost of living chaos, they are inspired to keep going.

Trust me when I say there are too many days when a small business owner feels like giving up. Support from people like you means, well, we don't.

Another reason: small businesses often specialise in unique and innovative products and services products that you won't find in larger enterprises.

When you shop at a small business, you can discover one-of-a-kind things that reflect the passion and creativity of the creators.

Nice not to be like everybody else, right?

A third reason: Many small businesses cultivate sustainability and eco-conscious practices.

We often have a smaller carbon footprint and are more likely to source and provide our products locally.

Supporting these businesses contributes to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future. Win. Win. Win

Last but certainly not least: when you support a small business, you're not just making a purchase but sending a powerful message to future generations.

Your choice to invest in small businesses inspires and paves the way for others to pursue their dreams and ambitions.

As a community, we can create a more supportive and nurturing environment for aspiring small business owners.

Every sale, every positive review, and every recommendation has a significant impact on a small business owner's life.

It helps them pay the bills, support their families, and continue doing what they love.

A special shout-out to Small Business Saturday UK for my recent mentoring session. I felt inspired and motivated after the session. (Once I'd made sense of all the notes and ideas I jotted down!) Thank you for all you do for small businesses in the UK.
